Find the report from the recorded night
Open a completed NiceSleep sleep report and look for sound events. The official example shows event categories and playback controls. Select a clip that actually has saved audio; an event count by itself is not a collection of playable files.
Sound saving must have been enabled during tracking. On iOS it is off by default; on Android, check your installed version’s setting before your next session.
Listen according to your playback access
Use the playback control for an available saved recording. On iOS 1.5.15, choose any 3 per sleep session across all categories; replays do not use additional selections, and multi-file recordings count as one. Premium unlocks all available saved recordings. Playback, waveform access and export share the same access rules. Android rollout is unverified; check your installed app.
A clip labelled as sleep talking or snoring is an estimated classification. Listen in context before making an assumption about the speaker or cause.
Choose carefully before sharing
The current public iOS release describes playback and share controls in sleep reports. Review a clip before using the available share option, particularly if someone else is audible. Sharing is a deliberate transfer off your device.
On Android, follow the playback and sharing instructions in your installed version. The controls may differ from iOS.
Storage and deletion are separate from event counts
Records and saved audio are stored on your device by default. Cloud backup is optional and off until enabled; including eligible favorite recordings is a separate choice. Turning off backup is not the same as deleting an existing cloud copy.
Use the app’s available record-deletion options and the backup-deletion instructions in its privacy policy. This website does not receive or keep your clips. It cannot restore audio that was never saved.
Sound recording questions
Why can I see events but not listen to them?
Check whether sound saving was enabled for that session, whether a file exists and whether you have playback access. An event and a saved clip are different.
Does switching off backup delete existing backups?
Do not assume it does. Follow the separate backup and deletion instructions in the app privacy policy.
How many saved recordings can I listen to without Premium?
On iOS 1.5.15, every non-Premium user can choose any 3 saved recordings from each sleep session, across all sound categories, and listen to them in full. Replaying a chosen recording does not use another selection. A recording with multiple audio files counts as one selection. Premium unlocks all available saved recordings. Playback, waveform access and audio export follow the same access rules. Android has the same shared allowance implemented, but its public release has not been verified. Check the access shown in your installed Android app; do not assume the iOS allowance is available there yet.
